Gina joined the Dance Dynamics family at the age of 3 the very first year we opened our doors in 2000. . She has studied all disciplines of dance throughout those years including jazz, tap, acro, ballet, musical theatre, lyrical, hip-hop, modern and pointe.

Throughout her competitive years, she was awarded with numerous specialty awards, judges’ choice awards and scholarships.  Gina was awarded the All Around Junior High Score award at a Dance America competition where she then qualified for nationals in Orlando. She has also won the local talent competition “So you Think you got Talent” twice competing with her musical theatre solo. Gina successfully auditioned to be a VIP member of the Dance Olympus Summer tour and was invited to tour with them summer 2017.  As well as these accomplishments, she was also voted “Dancer of the Year” in 2010 by her peers in the studio.  Gina trained with the ADAPT exam syllabus studying  jazz, tap and ballet and successfully completed all 10 levels of the jazz exams and has been invited to complete the final Advanced exam in Toronto. She also completed 7 tap exams, 3 ballet and her Level 6 in Acrobatics Arts.  Gina was one of the studio’s first students to move through the assistant teacher program to teacher where she she gained knowledge in the proper methods to teach and correct a child; how to interact with children of all ages; emergency procedures; roles and responsibilities of a teacher and more.  She has attended ADAPT’s Assistant Training Program and Dance Attack’s Teacher Expo in Toronto, has completed her High Five Training Certificate learning the principles of Healthy child development. Gina as required of all staff members, has current First Aid & Child CPR, and has attended a seminar on Mental Health First Aid.  She is the third member of our staff to obtain her certification as a Rhythm Works Integrative Dance instructor, a rhythm and dance program that incorporates evidence-based practices from sensory integration, applications to physical skills, and behavioural strategies. while the focus is on teaching students with learning differences and special needs. Continuing her dance education to ensure she brings the most current and up to date information and trends to her students she has recently completed a series of classes on stretching and another on Hip Hop.

She has attended many workshops being taught by famous choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Shane Sparks, Melissa Mitro and many more.  Gina was fortunate to attend classes at The Rock Centre for Dance in Las Vegas, the #1 Competitive Dance Studio in North America dancing along side students who have appeared on World of Dance,, America’s Got Talent and Dance Moms.

Gina is looking forward to another great season with Dance Dynamics where she is able to share her passion for dance and be a positive role model for her students.
