She began training with the basics (jazz, ballet, acro) and since then has broadened her knowledge to a variety of genres including hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and tap. Alleigh- Jane has completed ADAPT exams for ballet, tap, and jazz up to Intermediate 3, as well as Acrobatic Arts exams up to level 6.
Alleigh-Jane has competed since the age of eight at multiple in-town and out of town competitions where she has been a part of the senior overall shining star highest score at Thunderstruck in 2019, alongside many other awards. She enjoys taking workshops, as well as assisting classes. Alleigh-Jane has been assisting lessons at Dance Dynamics since 2018, and enjoys sharing her passion for dance with younger students.
Alleigh-Jane has carried many of her leadership skills from the studio into her academic life. As a recent graduate of Saint Patrick High School, she directed over 30 students in a musical for her drama class called “The Rainbow Fish” where she choreographed and staged the musical in-person and online over the course of a quadmester. She also received the award of Valedictorian at her graduation to speak on behalf of her class.
Alleigh-Jane is also involved in the community. Being the Vice President of the Student Activity Council at school, and the Minister of Public Relations for NWOSSSA (Northwestern Ontario Secondary Schools Student Association) she has well over 100 volunteer hours.
In the fall, Alleigh-Jane will be entering Lakehead University on a scholarship to be studying Kinesiology full-time. She is very interested to be learning more about sports and movement and how these subjects can carry over into her teaching career at Dance Dynamics. She is looking forward to a great season with everyone.
