Musical theatre is a form of theatre combining music, songs, lip syncing and dance. The emotional content of the piece – humor, pathos, love, anger – as well as the story itself, is communicated through the words, music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole while Jazz dance is an umbrella term that can refer to several related dance styles.
Hip hop dance mainly refers to dance styles including popping, locking, breaking, electro and house dance. The first early traces of "breaking" appeared during the 70' in New York City. This type of dance came from the streets largely in the Hispanic and African American communities.
